The Beginning Is the Most Important
How to Train Your Dog?
Once we have chosen a dog and brought it home, we must start attending to it from the very beginning. The dog is getting acquainted with a new environment; everything is new to it. While we would love to just play with it, we must not forget about its training. Puppies learn quickly and are playful, so they will be happy to cooperate with us for a small treat while learning at the same time. It doesn’t matter if the dog is indoors or outdoors; hygiene habits are very important. We must teach it that it can and must relieve itself outside. This means we need to take the puppy outside as often as possible so it learns to do its business outside. Every time it succeeds, we must reward it; this is very important.
Every dog needs to have its rules; it must know what is allowed and what is not. Of course, when it looks at us with pleading eyes, we might want to give in to its every request, but if we allow it to sleep with us in bed, it will be very difficult to unteach that behavior later. The more stubborn the dog is, the bigger the challenge will be. Along with hygiene habits, we can also teach basic commands like sit, stay, and heel during playtime.
